The deadly shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh this past Saturday has affected people all over the country, and Juneau’s synagogue is holding a service to honor the lives lost.
At 5 p.m. Tuesday, Congregation Sukkat Shalom is honoring the 11 people killed in the mass shooting, according to a press release sent out Monday.
“We come together for healing, in the spirit and strength of our Jewish traditions,” the release stated.
Everybody is welcome at the service. Congregation Sukkat Shalom is at 211 Cordova Street in Douglas.
