ANCHORAGE — A rural Alaska man is charged with killing a puppy belonging to the husband of an ex-girlfriend and attached a threatening note to the carcass.
Alaska State Troopers said 22-year-old Alexie Evan of Napaskiak is charged with two counts of stalking and single counts of criminal trespass and animal cruelty.
All four charges are misdemeanors.
A 45-year-old Napaskiak woman on Saturday told a village public safety officer that her nephew’s puppy and been killed and thrown against his bedroom window.
A note was attached threatening the nephew and his wife, an ex-girlfriend of Evan.
Investigators concluded Evan wrote the note.
He was jailed in Bethel.

Napaskiak is a Kuskokwim River village of 444 located 7 miles southeast of Bethel.
