Man found dead in Aniak home; troopers seek home-owner

ANCHORAGE — A man was found dead Monday at a home in the southwest Alaska village of Aniak and Alaska State Troopers are trying to find the home owner.

Troopers say they’re attempting to locate 57-year-old Thomas “Tommy” Tom of Aniak.

Tom was last seen Sunday night. Troopers are seeking the public’s help to find Tom.

Troopers have not released the name of the man found dead. His body has been sent to the state medical examiner in Anchorage for positive identification and an autopsy.

Aniak is a village of 533 people about 92 miles northeast of Bethel.
