Police are investigating a Thursday night hit-and-run in the Foodland parking lot that resulted in a man being medevaced to Seattle.
A 26-year-old man was hit by the vehicle, a gray or silver Dodge pickup truck, which left the scene afterward, according to Juneau Police Department.
The Juneau Police Department received a call at 11:26 p.m. that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian in the parking lot before leaving the area, according to police. JPD and Capital City Fire/Rescue personnel responded, locating the victim, who had sustained serious injuries.
The victim, who police did not identify, was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for evaluation before being medevaced to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, Campbell said; the investigation is ongoing.
