A missing hunter was found Tuesday morning near Hoonah after an overnight search, Alaska State Troopers reported Thursday.
Loren Cummins, 54, of Juneau, had been hunting near Freshwater Bay on Monday night but failed to meet his hunting party at a scheduled rendezvous. Alaska State Troopers, wildlife troopers, the Hoonah Police Department and the Hoonah Fire Department mobilized for a search and found Cummins about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Cummins had suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
