A man sought by police after he was reported missing contacted police early Wednesday morning and was subsequently arrested on Juneau Police Department warrants.
Lucas Canton Schneider, 43, was detained after contacting police at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, said JPD public safety manager Erann Kalwara in an email.
Schneider was arrested after he turned himself in to an officer at the JPD substation downtown, Kalwara said in an email.
Police put out word that they were looking for information on Schneider’s location last Friday after family members contacted JPD that they hadn’t heard from Schneider in two weeks. Schneider’s last known location was Echo Cove, where he went to camp on June 29.
Schneider is currently being held at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
