A missing Juneau snowmobiler was found safe and without injuries late Monday.
Alaska State Troopers began searching for 28-year-old Christopher Hausler just after 6 p.m. after Hausler was late returning from a trip on his snowmachine on the Dan Moller Trail.
According to a dispatch from Troopers, the investigation revealed that Hausler’s snowmachine had gotten stuck at around 2:15 p.m. Monday, and Hausler called his girlfriend to say he was going to walk to his car.
At 5:58 p.m., Troopers got the call to assist when Hausler never returned to his vehicle.
The U.S. Coast Guard, Juneau Snowmobile Club and Juneau Mountain Rescue joined in the search. Hausler was found along Lawson Creek by a Coast Guard helicopter crew.
