A Juneau man escaped serious injury after crashing his motorcycle Friday afternoon, but was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
At about 12:30 p.m., Juneau Police Department officers responded to the crash on Glacier Highway near the NOAA Facility at Auke Bay, Lt. Kris Sell wrote in a press release. A 51-year-old Juneau man was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital. JPD did not identify the motorcyclist by name.
The road was not closed, but the lanes were narrowed during the incident, Sell said. The investigation is continuing.
