ANCHORAGE — A new dental health facility is set to be unveiled Friday in Dillingham.
Representatives said the Bristol Bay Area Health Corp. is set to hold a public celebration of the opening of its facility Friday afternoon in the town of nearly 2,400.
The clinic is the newest building on the grounds of the Kanakanak Hospital. Representatives say the dental facility was previously located at two sites on the grounds, and has been expanded at the new site, which features new digital equipment and 12 dental chairs.
The corporation was created in 1973 by a consortium of Bristol Bay area tribes to provide health care services to 28 communities in the region.
Corporation president Robert Clark says his organization is “proud to be improving access to dental care” in the region.
