With members of the public involved in almost every step of the new Juneau Arts and Culture Center (JACC), the time has come to get local businesses more involved.
At the Juneau Chamber of Commerce’s weekly luncheon Thursday, organizers of the new JACC will give a presentation getting the local business community up to speed on the design progress. The design is nearly complete, and the biggest task at the moment is raising money.
The project has raised just shy of 20 percent of its estimated budget of $19 million, Owner’s Rep (and Program Manager) Bob Banghart said this week. Thursday’s presentation to the Chamber of Commerce will focus on the economic details of the project, Banghart said.
The luncheon, located at the Moose Lodge near the Juneau International Airport, begins at noon. Members of the Chamber pay $20, while others pay $25. An RSVP is required, and doors open at 11:30 a.m.
