ANCHORAGE — An earthquake measuring a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 struck near Anchorage, Alaska Monday morning.
Seismologist Natalia Ruppert from the Alaska Earthquake Information Center says there were no reports of injuries or damage from the quake.
She said the impact was mild because the earthquake occurred nearly 30 miles below the Earth’s surface.
The United States Geological Survey reported the earthquake struck at 1:41 a.m. around 22 miles south of Anchorage.
