ANCHORAGE — A nonprofit organization serving 20 western Alaska villages says it will make $325,000 available this year to help people in its communities pay for costly heating oil for their homes. The Coastal Villages Region Fund is a community development quota nonprofit involved in harvesting seafood. Its members are located along the state’s western coast between Scammon Bay and Platinum.
