Foul play has been ruled out in the death of a state ferry employee found dead Thursday, officials say.
Alaska State Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said Tuesday that the death of Ronald Kish, 57, is still under investigation but foul play is currently not suspected.
Kish was found deceased in his stateroom aboard the M/V Matanuska at 7:35 p.m. Thursday prior to arriving in Kake. Kish was a crew member on board the vessel. Jeremy Woodrow, a spokesman for the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, said Kish was an employee on the Alaska Marine Highway System for just over four year.
