Break out the lederhosen or dirndl, it’s Operatoberfest time.
Beer and opera will meet at the Juneau Lyric Opera’s most bawdy and rambunctious event of the year this Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Rockwell Ballroom at 7:30 p.m.
Operatoberfest is an operatic take on the German tradition of Oktoberfest. New to the JLO calendar, the event will have games, a costume contest and will feature Alaskan Brewing Company’s German-style Marzen beer.
The $20 price of admission includes a beer token for patrons 21 and over. Tickets can be purchased at juneauopera.org or at the door.
