The 40-foot totem, carved by Nathan Jackson in 1980 with assistance by Steve Brown and assstance painting by his wife, Dorica Jackson, was placed in the Museum's collection in 1981 and erected outside Centennial Hall for Juneau's Centennial in 1983. The pole was taken down Tuesday for restoration.
