Manson Construction, the Seattle-based construction company in charge of constructing the new Panamax cruise docks, anchored two large buoys in Juneau Harbor Tuesday. The Manson employees working on the project will be “mooring their equipment barges as needed to them,” according to Dave Borg, harbor master for Docks and Harbors. The buoys are not in the navigational channel, and the Coast Guard has put out a broadcast notice “over the appropriate VHF radio frequencies” to notify boaters, Borg said.
