The Valentine delivery was from child care programs across town in thanks for the CBJ support of the HEARTS Initiative. HEARTS, or Hiring, Educating, and Retaining Teaching Staff, was funded by the City and Borough of Juneau in July 2012 in order to address the critical shortage of child care for working parents.
