Assault
• At 9:27 p.m. Friday, a 28-year-old woman reported being slapped in the face by a 38-year-old woman in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive. Alcohol was involved.
• At 10:07 p.m. Friday, Lorraine Paul, 43, was arrested for an assault in the 100 block of Marine Way. She was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.
Firearm misconduct
• At 8:52 p.m. Friday, Juneau Police Department investigated a report of a firearm that had been discharged within city limits. Investigation revealed that a 69-year-old man had accidentally fired a weapon inside his residence. The bullet passed through the residence in the direction of five children who were playing outside. One count of weapons misconduct and five counts of reckless endangerment will be forwarded to the City Attorney’s Office for their consideration of prosecution.
Motor vehicle crash
• At 3:36 p.m. Friday, a 69-year-old male riding a bicycle collided with a boat on a trailer being towed by a 70-year-old male. The bicyclist was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital and treated for his injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
Theft
• At 5:12 p.m. Friday, a 35-year-old male reported that about $2,500 worth of Ryobi Tools was stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the Juneau area.
Vandalism
• At 12:17 p.m. Friday, a male reported that the lug nuts on his vehicle were loosened in the 11400 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road.
• At 3:07 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of criminal trespass and vandalism to a residence in the 300 block of Main Street. Investigation continues.
