Police and fire for Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016

Burglary

• At 7:42 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a burglary in the 2000 block of Douglas Highway. Investigation continues.

Child abuse

• At 4:56 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of child abuse. Investigation continues.

• At 7:19 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of child abuse/neglect in the 3000 block of Mountainwood Circle. Information only.

Domestic violence

• At 1:17 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investiagted a report of a domestic violence related assault.

• At 12:19 a.m. Thursday, a 22-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault, two counts of violating conditions of release and violating a domestic violence protective order. Alcohol was involved.

• At 1:34 a.m. Thursday, an 18-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence related criminal mischief, and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.

Drug activity

• At 5:13 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report of drug activity.

Fight

• At 7:51 p.m. Wednesday, Andrew Jamestown, 24, was arrested 100 block of Seward Street for assault, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct after he allegedly tried to fight several different people in the downtown area. He was taken to LCCC. Alcohol was involved.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to eight EMS calls, two transport calls, a good intent call on Seward Street and a report of an incinerator overload or malfunction with a confined fire on Riverside Drive.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 7:58 Thursday, JPD investigated a three-car crash in the area of Egan Drive outbound near Harris Harbor. Two drivers were cited for failure to maintain a safe distance, and one driver was cited and released for driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded. JPD did not include the names of those cited in the blotter, nor immediately upon request. When the name was provided, this blotter will be updated online.

Theft

• At 3:07 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of theft in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue. Investigation continues.
