Assault
• At 2:33 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of an assault in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
Criminal trespass
• At 12:28 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of criminal trespass in an apartment complex downtown in the 300 block of Fourth Street. Investigation continues.
Motor vehicle crash
• At 3:15 p.m. Saturday, a 53-year-old man reported his rental car, a 2014 Ford Focus, was struck by an unknown vehicle in the 300 block of Fourth Street. The vehicle sustained damage to the driver door.
Shoplift
• At 1:40 a.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of shoplifting in the 2200 block of Trout Street. Investigations continues. Alcohol was involved.
Suspicious activity
• At 8:45 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway, and seized a vehicle key for safekeeping. An arrest was made, but no other information was provided by police. The Empire has reached out to JPD for more information.
• At 9:22 a.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of suspicious activity, and a 1994 Chevy Blazer was impounded as evidence.
Theft
• At 1:57 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of vandalism and theft from a building in the 9200 block of James Boulevard. Investigation continues.
Vandalism
• At 7:41 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report that a Capital Transit bus window was vandalized. Investigation continues.
• At 8:35 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated an incident of vandalism and criminal mischief in the 4100 block of Aspen Avenue.
• At 11:43 a.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man reported his vehicle had been broken into and vandalized — the inside cab had been set on fire. The incident occurred in the 36000 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.
Welfare check
• At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, JPD conducted a welfare check on two children in the 3000 block of Dimond Park Loop, and the Office of Children’s Services was contacted.
