The Juneau Police Department has arrested a man suspected of stealing several bank cards and using them at local stores.
William “Billy” Moy Jr. was arrested Nov. 15 on four outstanding JPD warrants, according to an email from the department. Spokesperson Erann Kalwara said police received a tip from a citizen that Moy was in the area, and officers were able to make an arrest.
The day before, JPD had warned business owners against accepting cards from Moy, who is believed to have used and attempted to use stolen cards at 10 businesses since Nov. 1. At least one of the cards is believed to have been stolen from a car.
Moy is also a person of interest in the attempted burglary of an Airport Boulevard storage unit.
