Child abuse/neglect

• At 2:19 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department conducted a confidential investigation involving a child in the Juneau area.

• At 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into child abuse in the Juneau area.

• At 6:13 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into child abuse in the Juneau area.

Domestic violence

• At 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested a 52-year-old man for domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 7:08 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested a 42-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault after a fight with a family member. Alcohol was a factor. The man was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital, where he was medically cleared. He was then taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Drunken driving

• At 1:02 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Samantha Hurlbut, 31, in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway for driving under the influence after rear ending another vehicle. No injuries were reported. Hurlbut’s blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.136 percent. She was taken to LCCC and her vehicle was impounded.

Theft

• At 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 1700 block of Northwood Drive to investigate the report of a stolen vehicle. Investigation continues.

• At 6:49 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Fourth Street to investigate the report of larceny in the downtown area.

Warrant arrest

• At 7:27 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Jeffrey Charles Garrison, 32, in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue on an outstanding warrant.
