Assault

• At 4:33 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the report of an assault that occurred near the Downtown Transit Center. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

Burglary

• At 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 1000 block of Salmon Creek Lane to investigate the report of a man, 34, who reported a theft and burglary.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 10:39 a.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report of child abuse in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Domestic violence

• At 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested a 30-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault. Alcohol was a factor. The man was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 6:02 p.m. Tuesday, JPD created a case for the Office of Children’s Services about a case of domestic violence in the Juneau area.

Theft

• At 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a reported theft on Vintage Boulevard. Investigation continues.

• At 11:11 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 51, who reported her GCI cellphone and green leather wallet were stolen on Egan Drive. The cellphone is worth an estimated $25 and the wallet is worth an estimated $2.

Trespassing

• At 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Priscilla Brown in the 5500 block of Aisek Street for criminal trespass.

• At 7:42 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Thomas M. Berner, 63, in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive for trespassing.

Wildlife violations

• On Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued Mark D. Mitchell a criminal summons for one count of attempting to trap wolves during a closed season. See A1 for more information.

• On Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers and National Marine Fisheries Service Officers cited British Columbia resident Paul Gotto, 71, for catching and retaining two non-pelagic rockfish. Regulations allow people to possess only one non-pelagic rockfish. Gotto was cited in Juneau District Court for $130.
