Police calls for Monday, Aug. 6, 2018

Assault

• At 1:28 p.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department arrested Reyna Marie Regalado, 33, in the 5900 block of Churchill Way for criminal trespass and assault. Alcohol was a factor. Regaldo was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on $500 bail.

• At 9:08 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Seward Street to investigate the report of an assault. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

Burglary

• At 1:40 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 4100 block of Mendenhall Boulevard to investigate the report of a burglary and theft from a residence.

Disorderly conduct

• At 12:12 a.m. Friday, JPD arrested William Coleman, 56, in the 200 block of Front Street for disorderly conduct. Alcohol was a factor. Coleman was taken to LCCC and held on $250 cash bail.

Fraud

• At 10:46 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road to investigate the report of fraud.

Shoplifting

• At 12:30 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a theft in the 200 block of S. Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 12:03 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 5100 block of Glacier Highway to document the theft of a vehicle.

• At 5:01 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 3200 block of Tongass Boulevard to investigate the reported theft of two handguns from a residence. Investigation continues.

• At 6:01 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Seward Street to investigate the reported theft from a business in the downtown area. Investigation continues.

• At 6:47 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 10000 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the reported theft of a Kona Jake bicycle worth an estimated $1,200.

• At 9:12 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 9000 block of Cinema Drive to investigate the reported theft of an iPhone 7 and a wallet from an unlocked vehicle.

Trespassing

• At 12:07 p.m. Thursday, JPD cited and released Reyna Marie Regalado in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive for criminal trespass. Alcohol was a factor.

Vandalism

• At 3:40 p.m. Thursday, JPD investigated the report of vandalism in the 200 block of Willoughby Avenue. Investigation continues.

• At 9:40 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 1200 block of Harbor Way to investigate the report of a 56-year-old man who reported damage to his boat.

Wildlife violation

• On July 28, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers found that Juneau resident Harold Geiger, 65, was in possession of sockeye salmon that hadn’t been logged on his permit as required, and issued him a $210 citation. Troopers approached Geiger as he was returning to his vessel in Gilbert Bay after having fished at Sweetheart Creek.

• On Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers found that Juneau residents Trinidad Contreras, 38, and Nathan Soboleff, 39, and Ketchikan resident James Thompson, 42, had retained personal-use sockeye and had failed to log the fish prior to leaving the fishing site as required, and issued each of them a $210 citation. Troopers approached the men when they were returning to the Douglas boat launch after having fished at Sweetheart Creek.

• On Thursday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers found that Wrangell resident James Vandebunte, 55, had been seen commercial gillnetting in the closed waters of Limestone Inlet on July 18. Troopers issued Vandebunte a strict liability citation for commercial gillnetting in closed waters.

• At about 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers approached Juneau resident Clarence (Keith) Skaflestad, 49, as he was returning to Auke Bay from a fishing trip. Troopers found that Skaflestad had a large garbage bag of Dungeness crab that had been mutilated in a way that prevented the determination of size. Troopers also found that Skaflestad had subsistence-taken halibut that had been mutilated in violation of NOAA regulations. Troopers seized about 40 pounds of Dungeness crab and 100 pounds of halibut as evidence, and issued Skaflestad a strict liability citation for possessing subsistence-taken Dungeness crab that had been mutilated. Violations related to halibut were referred to NOAA for investigation.
