Assist

At 8:46 p.m. on Wednesday, Juneau Police Department investigated the death of a 28-year-old man on Sunset Street. The death was not considered suspicious and the next of kin has been notified.

Child Abuse/Neglect

At 2:20p.m. on Wednesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into a report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Fraud

At 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, JPD conducted an investigation into a reported fraudulent check in the Juneau area.

Motor Vehicle Crash without Injury

At 11:51 p.m. on Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy was involved in a motor vehicle accident involving a downed tree on Glacier Highway. No injuries were reported.

Theft

At 4:59 p.m. on Wednesday, JPD investigated a shoplifting complaint on Commercial Boulevard.

Welfare Check

At 3:51 p.m. on Wednesday, 37-year-old Jesse Lee Young was arrested on Douglas Highway for driving while intoxicated. The van he was driving was impounded and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
