Police calls for Sunday, April 7, 2019

Burglary

• At 4:36 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 9100 block of James Boulevard to investigate the report of a 33-year-old woman who reported her house was burglarized.

Death

• At 11:21 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road to investigate the death of 78-year-old man Carl Marvin. The death is not considered suspicious. Next of kin has been notified.

Domestic violence

• At 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 36-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault and disorderly conduct. Alcohol was a factor. The man was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 56-year-old woman for domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. She was taken to LCCC.

• At 2:01 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor. No arrests were made.

• At 2:03 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a 59-year-old woman in the Juneau area who reported a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.

• At 2:22 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a conditions violation and domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Driving under the influence

• At 7:11 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Bryan Parker Foss, 26, in the 2500 block of Industrial Boulevard for driving under the influence. JPD Public Safety Manager Erann Kalwara said officers found that Foss was under the influence of something other than alcohol. Charges have not yet been filed, Kalwara said.

• At 8:34 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Willie James Gillen, 30, in the 3400 block of Glacier Highway for driving under the influence. Kalwara said officers found that Foss was under the influence of something other than alcohol. Gillen was taken to LCCC.

Drunken driving

• At about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers arrested Robert Bornemann, 58, at the Amalga Harbor launch ramp for boating under the influence (BUI). Troopers also found that Bornemann had falsified the location from which he had harvested shrimp that day, and was issued a $220 citation for failing to provide factual information on his shrimp permit.

Theft

• At 8:32 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 2200 block of Crow Hill Drive to investigate the report of a 32-year-old woman who reported $2,000 worth of personal belongings were stolen from her house.

Wildlife violation

• On Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Juneau resident Daniel Michrowski, 54, for using sport-caught fish as bait when prohibited. The citation stemmed from Troopers inspecting personal use Dungeness crab pots in Fritz Cove on Saturday, and they found that Michrowski was operating two personal use Dungeness crab pots that were baited with the meat of sport-caught king and coho salmon.

• On Thursday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Juneau resident Arthur Chappell, 55, for using sport-caught fish as bait when prohibited. The citation stemmed from Troopers inspecting personal use Dungeness crab pots in Fritz Cove on Saturday, and they found that Chappell was operating two personal use Dungeness crab pots that were baited with the meat of sport-caught king and coho salmon.
