Burglary
• At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 11000 block of Auke Lake Way to investigate the report of a man, 69, who reported a theft.
• At 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 400 block of Gastineau Avenue to investigate the report of a residential burglary.
Domestic violence
• At 11:28 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the reported domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor.
Motor vehicle crash
• At 8:06 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 4400 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a damaged mailbox. Officers determined that the damage likely happened when a state plow truck caused a wave of snow.
Sex crime
• At 4:47 p.m. Monday, JPD conducted an investigation into the report of child abuse.
Shoplifting
• At 3:08 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 8300 block of Old Dairy Road to investigate the report of a theft.
Theft
• At 12:31 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 9000 block of Long Run Drive to investigate the report of a theft.
Vehicle theft
• At 8:12 a.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Travis Richards, 25, in the 9000 block of Glacier Highway for vehicle theft.
Warrant arrest
• At 10:25 a.m. Monday, Juneau-based Alaska State Troopers arrested Kake resident Melissa Hallingstad, 41, in Kake for an outstanding $500 felony arrest warrant for third-degree assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
