Police & Fire calls for Monday, Nov. 14, 2016

Burglary

• At 7:35 a.m. Friday, a 61-year-old man reported a burglary at his residence on Aspen Avenue. Investigation continues.

• At 10:29 a.m. Friday, a 63-year-old man reported an attempted burglary in the 3300 block of Meander Way. Investigation continues.

Criminal mischief

• At 7:25 p.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a domestic dispute in 2200 block of Muir Street. For more information, see the Sunday article “Man throws machete at Juneau police officers, tased by police.”

• At 8:23 p.m. Thursday, JPD investigated a report of domestic violence criminal mischief.

Shoplift

• At 6:14 p.m. Thursday, Cocoa Fudge, 31, was cited and released for larceny from a business in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 10:50 a.m. Friday, JPD received a report of shoplifting in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.

Theft

• At 1:14 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a theft in the 200 block of Marine Way downtown.

• At 8:05 a.m. Friday, JPD investigated a report of theft from a business in the 5700 block of Concrete Way.

• At 8:39 a.m. Friday, a 57-year-old man reported his dry box valued at $70 taken off his boat in the 5800 block of Mountain Avenue. It contained his hunting and fishing licenses and ID.

Vehicle rifling

• At 9:39 p.m. Thursday, a blue-and-green women’s shoulder bag was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3300 block of Tongass Boulevard.

Warrant arrest

• On Friday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Juneau contacted Olen Nordgren, 28, of Juneau, in the parking lot of the Mendenhall wetlands near Lemon Creek. Investigation revealed that Nordgren had an outstanding $20,000 Alaska State Trooper warrant for his arrest stemming from a probation violation. Nordgren was placed under arrest and taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Welfare check

• At 9:03 p.m. Thursday, JPD assisted the Office of Children’s Services with a welfare check in the 8100 block of Threadneedle Street. Alcohol was involved.
