Assault

• At 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 10600 block of Mendenhall Loop Road; investigation continues.

Domestic dispute

• At 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 43-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault; he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.

Drug activity

• At 1:27 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of drug activity in the Juneau area; investigation continues.

Fail to submit hunt report

• On Tuesday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Marc Anthony Eala, 29, of Juneau, for failure to submit a permit hunt report. Investigation revealed Eala failed to submit his moose harvest report by the Dec. 1, 2016 deadline, per conditions on the permit hunt, to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Fire and medical

• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 15 EMS calls and one medical transport in the area throughout the day. At 12:37 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a report of a car fire on Vintage Boulevard; no fire was located. At 5:06 a.m., they responded to a burn complaint on Judy Lane; the homeowner had a permit and a water source and was allowed to continue burning.

Shoplifting

• At 2 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a shoplifting report at Fred Meyer and cited Felicia Evenson, 27, for larceny; she was taken to LCCC and held without bail for violating conditions of release in two other cases.

• At 6:28 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a shoplifting report in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, JPD cited Archie Cavanaugh Jr., 66, for larceny after he stole $109 in merchandise from Fred Meyer.

• At 12:41 a.m. Wednesday, JPD cited Joshua Raymond Jones, 25, for larceny after he stole a $13 bottle of Sour Apple Pucker from the Valley Breeze In.

• At 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, JPD cited James Lewis, 28, for shoplifting in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

Theft

• At 3 pm. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report by a 53-year-old woman in the Juneau area regarding the theft of a license plate from her vehicle.

• At 4:52 p.m., JPD responded to a report of the theft of $25 in food items from the 3200 block of Hospital Drive; investigation continues.
