Assault

• At 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a report of an assault in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue. Alcohol was involved.

• At 7:34 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Paul Simpson, 27, for theft and assault in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue. Simpson was also charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Shoplift

• At 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a theft from a store in the 400 block of Whitter Street.

Theft

• At 5:57 p.m. Wednesday, a 59-year-old woman reported the theft of her laser Christmas light projector, valued at $40, from outside her residence in the 300 block of Third Street.

Trespass

• At 7:17 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Nicholas Steele Waterhouse, 28, for criminal trespass in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. Waterhouse was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vandalism

• At 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, a 50-year-old woman reported the rear window of her van was vandalized while parked in a private lot in the 400 block of Fourth Street. There was minimal damage.

Vehicle crash

• At 3:36 p.m. Wednesday, the driver of a silver truck failed to yield when turning left and collided with an oncoming vehicle in the 8100 block of Egan Drive. Both vehicles were totaled, but no injuries were reported.

Vehicle rifling

• At 12:00 Wednesday, JPD investigated a vehicle rifling and theft at Blueberry Hills Road.
