Fire and medical
• On Monday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to five EMS calls around town throughout the day, a call to inspect a smoke detector in a residence on 2nd Street, a fire alarm on Marine Way, a water rescue on Marine Way and an airport alert on Shell Simmons Drive where a plane landed without issues.
• On Tuesday, CCFR responded to 17 EMS calls, an unattended burn on Thane Road and a call to assist a homeowner with a dislodged chimney.
• On Wednesday, CCFR responded to nine EMS calls, a vehicle accident with injuries on North Douglas Highway at 8:40 a.m., a motor vehicle versus pedestrian or bicycle accident on Riverside and Riverwood Drives at 2:43 p.m., and a structure fire on Industrial Boulevard at 11:41 p.m. The fire was extinguished.
