Child abuse

• At 11:07 a.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Criminal mischief

• At 8:33 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 200 block of Franklin Street.

Death

• At 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a death in the 9100 block of Cinema Drive that appeared to be from natural causes; investigation continues.

Disturbance

• At 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report of a disturbance on Village Street.

Drunken driving

• At 12:21 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of drunken driving in the 6500 block of Egan Drive and remanded a juvenile to Johnson Youth Center at the request of the juvenile probation office.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to nine EMS calls and three medical transports in the area throughout the day. At 8:35 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Channel Drive, but the patient was not transported.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a three-vehicle collision in the 900 block of 10th Street; two vehicles sustained minor damage and the third vehicle, which reportedly caused the crash, sustained disabling damage. There were no reported injuries.

• At 6 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of a collision in the 2700 block of Mendenhall Loop Road after a driver reportedly failed to yield while turning left.

Shoplifting

• At 10:08 a.m. Thursday, JPD cited Timothy Ebona, 40, for shoplifting in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.

Suicide

• At 11:39 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of a suicide in the Juneau area; investigation continues.

Suspicious activity

• At 9:54 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report of suspicious activity in the Juneau area and took an informational report for the Office of Children’s Services.

Theft

• At 12:02 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report from a 60-year-old woman in the 1900 block of Wickersham Avenue regarding the theft of a package from the door step of her residence.

• At 11:58 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a theft report from a 45-year-old woman in the 2200 block of Trout Street.

Vehicle rifling

• At 10:23 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report from a 35-year-old man in the 1200 block of Harbor Way that his unlocked vehicle had been rifled and his keys and garage door opener had been taken.
