Assault
• At 3:33 a.m. Thursday, a 47-year-old man reported an assault in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. Charges have been forwarded to the city attorney’s office. Alcohol was involved.
Burglary
• At 4:34 p.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a burglary and theft from a residence in the 8400 block of Nugget Drive. Investigation continues.
• At 4:09 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a burglary in the 2800 block of Postal Way. Investigation continues.
Death
• At 8:50 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to an unattended death in the 1600 block of Douglas Highway. The death is not considered suspicious.
Disturbance
• At 1:51 p.m. Tuesday, JPD contacted a 42-year-old man in the 8800 block of Glacier Highway to investigate a reported disturbance. It was determined that no crime had been committed.
Domestic violence
• At 12:12 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a domestic violence assault and theft in the Juneau area. Alcohol was involved. Investigation continues.
Drug activity
• At 8:32 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of drug activity in the 1100 block of Second Street. Investigation continues.
Drunken driving
• At 6:09 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Steven Lythgoe, 42, for driving while intoxicated in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Lythgoe provided a breath sample of .315 percent and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.
Fire and medical
• On July 8, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to seven EMS calls, three transport calls, one agency assist, one burn complaint, one false fire alarm and one call cancelled en route.
• On July 9, CCFR responded to 12 EMS calls, one transport call, one car fire, one fire alarm because of burned food, one open burn complaint, one smoke complaint, one fuel spill and one false fire alarm.
• On July 10, CCFR responded to seven EMS calls and seven transport calls.
• On Monday, CCFR responded to 15 EMS calls, one transport call, one agency assist and one standby request for possible aircraft trouble.
• On Tuesday, CCFR responded to 11 EMS calls, four transport calls, two false fire alarms and one agency assist.
• On Wednesday, CCFR responded to eight EMS calls, two transport calls and one false fire alarm.
• On Thursday, CCFR responded to nine EMS calls, two transport calls, one boat fire, one fire alarm because of burned food and one open burn complaint.
Fraud
• At 7:59 a.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of fraud in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
Sex crime
• At 11:18 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of sexual abuse of a minor in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
Theft
• At 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, a 30-year-old female reported the theft of a PlayStation Vita in the 3400 block of Foster Avenue.
• At 3:18 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report that an item valued at approximately $239 was stolen from a downtown business on July 10 in the 100 block of Franklin Street.
• At 9:52 a.m. Wednesday, a 65-year-old man reported the license plate on his vehicle was stolen sometime between March 1 and June 30 in the 3300 block of Nowell Avenue.
• At 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, a 73-year-old man reported $300 in cash was stolen from his wallet at the Juneau Public Library Downtown in the 200 block of Marine Way.
• At 12:55 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report that approximately $13 worth of Diet Coke and bottled water was stolen in the 1400 block of Fritz Cove Road. There are no leads or suspects.
• At 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a missing vehicle in the 1200 block of Harbor Way. Investigation continues.
• At 3:38 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a stolen phone, valued at approximately $600, in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
Trespassing
• At 2:07 p.m. Tuesday, JPD cited and released Virginia Mae John-Daniels, 56, for criminal trespassing on Egan Drive. Alcohol was involved.
• At 2:07 p.m. Tuesday, JPD cited and released Frank Charles, 54, for criminal trespassing on Egan Drive. Alcohol was involved.
Vehicle rifling
• At 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man reported hats were stolen from inside a vehicle in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.
