Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 12 EMS calls and three medical transports in the area throughout the day.

• At 7:32 a.m. Thursday, CCFR responded to a vehicle collision with injuries on Mendenhall Loop Road and Valley Boulevard; a man was assisted, but not taken to the hospital.

• At 10:02 a.m. Thursday, firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Third Street, but found no sign of smoke or fire.

• At 2:39 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Granite Drive that had been triggered by burnt food.

• At 4:55 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a burn complaint on Long Run Drive; nothing was located.

Fraud

• At 2:15 p.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of counterfeit money in the 100 block of Franklin Street.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 5:24 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 3200 block of Egan Drive and arrested Spencer Goodwin, 22, for driving under the influence after he reportedly struck a light pole. Goodwin allegedly blew 0.20 percent breath alcohol concentration and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center, where he was released on his own recognizance.

Theft

• At 8:01 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of the theft of mail in the 5800 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 11:19 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of the theft of a gas can from a vehicle in the 9400 block of La Perouse Avenue.

Trespassing

• At 5:54 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report from a business in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue that a woman had returned to the property after leaving, and might have illegally gained access through a window. The business did not want to press charges, they just didn’t want her to be there anymore.

Vandalism

• At 3:08 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report from a charter business in the 11400 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road regarding vandalism to two outboard motors resulting in an estimated $30,000 in damage.
