Police & fire for Sunday, June 26, 2016

Burglary

• At 10:28 a.m. Thursday, a 65-year-old man reported a burglary in the 4200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

Child abuse

• At 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of possible child abuse in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive. Confidential investigation continues.

• At 11:33 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of possible child abuse in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Conditions violation

• At 10:08 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Thomas Bell, 55, for two counts of violating conditions of his release in the 100 block of Dixon Street. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail. Alcohol was involved.

Criminal trespassing

• At 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Dwayne Clements, 47, for criminal trespassing in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 6:19 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of criminal trespassing in the 2200 block of Ka See An Drive. Alcohol was involved.

Domestic violence

• At 1:37 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report that four “For Sale” signs were stolen from a trailer parked at a residence in the Juneau area related in relation to a domestic violence issue.

• At 3:39 p.m., JPD received a report of a conditions violation in the Juneau area related to a domestic violence issue. Investigation continues.

Drug activity

• At 5:24 p.m. Wednesday, JPD reported finding drugs on Egan drive and destroying them.

• At 9:02 p.m. Wednesday, JPD destroyed drugs found in the 3400 block of Foster Avenue.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 10 EMS calls, seven transport calls and open burn complaint.

Litter violation

• At 10:14 p.m. Wednesday, a pallet fell from the back of a pickup truck which struck another vehicle in the 21000 block of Glacier Highway, causing approximately $1,000 in damage. Investigation continues.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle collision in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

Shoplifting

• At 6:25 a.m. Thursday, a 66-year-old man reported shoplifting in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.

Theft

• At 12:26 p.m. Wednesday, a 65-year-old man reported theft from his residence in the 800 block of Twelfth Street.

• At 2:26 p.m. Wednesday, a 74-year-old man reported a theft in the 1400 block of Harbor Way.

Vandalism

• At 3:29 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of vandalism in the 3900 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Investigation continues.

• At 7:48 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of vandalism to a vehicle in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

Vehicle rifling

• At 7:29 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a vehicle rifling in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

• At 10:32 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a vehicle rifling and theft in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.
