Police & fire for Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016

Assist

• At 3:49 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of an adult who left a halfway house without permission in the Juneau area.
• At 10:42 a.m. Thursday, JPD assisted probations with remanding Philip Walsh to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Disorderly conduct

• At 10:48 p.m. Tuesday, JPD cited and released Brandon Breslin, 21, for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Alcohol was involved.

Domestic violence

• At 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of theft from a residence in the Juneau area related to a domestic violence issue.

• At 8:18 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested a 35-year-old woman for domestic violence assault in the Juneau area.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 11 EMS calls, one call about smoke in a building and one transport call.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 3:47 p.m. Wednesday, JPD created a case for information regarding a hit-and-run with a rental car on Egan Drive. No injuries reported.

Shoplifting

• At 2:26 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of shoplifting from a business in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

• At 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of shoplifting from a business in the 200 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

• At 4:53 p.m. Wednesday, JPD cited and released Daniel Hyun Shimabukuro for shoplifting in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 10:53 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of shoplifting in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

• At 10:42 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

Vandalism

• At 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a broken window on a vehicle in the 3300 block of Park Place. Investigation continues.

• At 6:41 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of vandalism in the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Investigation continues.

Vehicle rifling

• 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, a 57-year-old woman reported that someone stole her purse from an unlocked vehicle in the Juneau area.

Trespassing

• At 1:47 p.m. Wednesday, a 53-year-old man reported that a 30-year-old man was trespassing in the 11000 block of Auke Lake Way.

• At 6:41 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of vandalism in the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Investigation continues.
