Fire and medical

On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 13 EMS calls and one medical transport in the area throughout the day. At 9:06 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm on University Drive, but found no sign of smoke or fire. At 2:50 p.m., they responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Pioneer Avenue that was due to a malfunction. At 5:22 p.m., they were dispatched to a fire alarm on Willoughby Avenue that had been triggered by burnt food. At 6:45 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Mendenhall Loop Road that was due to the detector being out of date.

Robbery

At 10:56 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to an attempted robbery in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.

Sex assault

At 11:18 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of a sexual assault in the Juneau area; investigation continues.

Shoplifting

At 6:08 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of theft and criminal mischief in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road; investigation continues.

Theft

At 2:23 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report from a 48-year-od woman in the 400 block of Third Street that packages had been stolen from an Arctic entry.

Trespassing

At 10:23 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Thomas Michael Berner, 62, for criminal trespass at the Port of Juneau in the 400 block of Franklin Street.

Weapons misconduct

At 9:10 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of misconduct involving weapons in the Juneau area; investigation continues.
