Police & fire for Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016

Assault

• At 11:23 a.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department cited and released Herman Droddy Jr., 70, for an assault inside a business in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.

Burglary

• At 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, a 58-year-old woman reported an unknown person entered her residence in the 100 block of Fifth Street and stole approximately $70 worth of food.

• At 8:59 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a burglary of a business in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue. Investigation continues.

Criminal mischief

• At 3:22 a.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a 34-year-old man putting holes in his apartment neighbor’s walls during a disturbance. Criminal mischief charges were forwarded tot he city attorney.

Domestic violence

• At 5:26 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested a 57-year-old woman for domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center Alcohol was involved.

• At 10:22 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Fire and medical

• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 13 EMS calls, five transport calls, two calls that were cancelled en route and one false fire alarm.

Fraud

• At 1:29 p.m. JPD received a report of forgery in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue. Investigation continues.

Motor vehicle accident

• At 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old woman struck a 30-year-old woman who was walking near 10th Street and Egan Drive. There was no medical transport.

Theft

• At 1:23 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of theft in the 200 block of Third Street. Investigation continues.

• At 5:04 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a stolen iPod in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. Investigation continues.

• At 10:57 a.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of theft in the 1200 block of Glacier Avenue. Investigation continues.

Vandalism

• At 3:38 p.m. Tuesday, a 60-year-old man reported that his van was vandalized on 12th Street.

• At 10:44 a.m. Wednesday, a 62-year-old man reported vandalism to his boat in the 10000 block of Camden Place. Investigation continues.
