Police & Fire for Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016

Burglary

• At 1:40 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department investigarted a report of a burglary in an unoccupied residence in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. The items stolen from the residence, mostly tools, are valued at $2,000.

Criminal trespass

• At 1:28 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of criminal trespass at a business in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.

• At 9:13 a.m. Monday, James Hefley, 26, and Cora Richards, 43, were cited and released for criminal trespass in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue.

Fire and medical

• On Friday, Nov. 25, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to six EMS calls around town throughout the day, a vehicle fire on D Street that responding crew members extinguished, a medical transport and two calls that were canceled en route.

• On Saturday, CCFR responded to 12 EMS calls, a fire alarm on Nugget Drive triggered by construction, and a smoke investigation on Glacier Highway due to smoke rising from a gas station. The gas station owner stated the oil heater was malfunctioning and there was no fire. A firefighter also sustained a head injury during a training evaluation on Sherwood Lane; the firefighter was evaluated at Bartlett Regional Hospital and returned to service. CCFR also responded to three medical transport calls.

• On Sunday, CCFR responded to six EMS calls, a fire alarm on Vintage Boulevard (there wasn’t a fire), and two medical transports.

Shoplift

• At 4:54 p.m. Sunday, Dakota Gallant, 26, was cited and released for shoplifting in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.

• At 5:58 p.m. Sunday, Elliot Davies was cited and released for larceny from a business in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

Theft

• At 8:41 a.m. Monday, a 33-year-old man reported a theft from his residence in the 2400 block of Ka See An Drive.
