Fire and medical
• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to nine EMS calls around town throughout the day, a report of a fire on Whittier Street where responding firefighters learned that a holiday decoration caught fire and had already been extinguished, a call to Lemon Street to assist someone who fell, a report of a power line sparking by a tree near River Road and Tamarack Court where responding firefighters did not find any problems, a wiring problem with an outlet on Melrose Street and a medical transport call.
