Assault

• At 8:31 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 200 block of Franklin Street; investigation continues.

• At 12:27 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Estaban Toribio, 20, in the 200 block of Ferry Way, for assault and interfering with an officer; he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Burglary

• At 4:53 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the burglary of a business’ storage unit in the 11800 block of Glacier Highway; approximately $1,000 in meat and four to five cases of juice and soda worth an estimated $500 were stolen.

Drunken driving

• At 11:50 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Michael Christenson, 56, for DUI in the 5400 block of Egan Drive; he reportedly provided a breath sample of 0.185 percent and was taken to LCCC.

Fire and medical

• On Friday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 15 EMS calls and one medical transport in the area throughout the day. At 3:35 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a burn complaint on Birch Lane; the property owner was asked to extinguish the fire and wait for a less windy day. At 3:38 p.m., they received another complaint about the same burn, which had been extinguished. At 4:13 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Tonsgard, but found no sign of smoke or fire.

• On Saturday, CCFR responded to 12 EMS calls and one medical transport. At 6:44 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Kanat-A Street that had been triggered by burnt food. At 9:26 p.m., they were dispatched to a report of a fire on Whittier Street; they found a gas can on fire and extinguished it.

• On Sunday, CCFR responded to 13 EMS calls and two medical transports. At 4:02 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Franklin Street that was maliciously activated.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 2:41 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a vehicle driven off the road in the 9400 block of Glacier Highway, with the driver fleeing on foot; the vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front end.

Shoplifting

• At 4:59 p.m. Saturday, JPD cited Oscar Snell, 45, for larceny in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Theft

• At 11:36 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of the theft of Beats Solo 3 headphones worth an estimated $300 in the 9400 block of Glacier Highway.

Trespassing

• At 3:13 p.m. Saturday, JPD cited Eugene Graham, 57, for criminal trespass in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.

• At 7:09 p.m., JPD responded to a trespassing report in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.

Vandalism

• At 8:40 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a vandalism report in the 400 block of Franklin Street.

Vehicle in ditch

• At 1:36 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a vehicle that went off the roadway into a ditch in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Vehicle rifling

• At 7:55 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report by a 27-year-old woman in the 300 block of Whittier Street that her vehicle was rifled through and her passport, Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPod Nano were stolen.
