Police & Fire for Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016

Assault

• At 9:17 p.m. Saturday, a 50-year-old man reported an unknown female vandalized his 2009 Honda in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway by throwing food inside the vehicle, causing approximately $50 in damage.

Burglary

• At 1:29 p.m. Saturday, a 44-year-old man reported that between Nov. 3-11, his residence in the 300 block of Marin Way was burglarized.

Child abuse

• At 11:56 a.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a report of child abuse in the 4000 block of Deborah Drive. Domestic.

Disorderly conduct

• At 2:02 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of a fight in the 200 block of Front Street and found Kristian Petaja involved in a fight. He was cited and released for disorderly conduct. Alcohol was involved.

Domestic violence

• At 6:29 p.m. Friday, a 33-year-old woman reported her husband violated a domestic violence protective order.

• At 2:02 p.m. Saturday, a 52-year-old woman reported damage to her home. Domestic. Alcohol was involved.

• At 2:53 p.m. Saturday, a 39-year-old woman reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend. Domestic.

Drunken driving

• At 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sean Rielly was arrested for driving under the influence in the 3800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road, and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Drug activity

• At 6:40 a.m. Sunday, JPD documented destruction of found narcotics in the 13400 block of Glacier Highway.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to seven EMS calls around town throughout the day and one medical transport call.

• On Friday, CCFR responded to nine EMS calls, a public service call to help reset a fire alarm at Dimond Park, a medical transport call, and an assist call on Egan Drive outbound at Norway Point to help with an oil spill from a car crash.

• On Saturday, CCFR responded to six EMS calls, a reported structure fire on 2nd Street that was extinguished, and an assist call on Egan Drive to help JPD with a transport.

• On Sunday, CCFR responded to four EMS calls, a medical transport call, an assist call to help a patient into their home on Glacier Highway, a fire alarm on University Drive at 8:19 p.m. that was triggered by burnt food, and a fire alarm on Harbor Way at 11:14 p.m. but no signs of smoke or fire was found.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 8:28 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of a hit-and-run collision on Egan Drive outbound at Whittier Avenue. Dustin Patterson, 35, was cited and released for action of operator immediately following a collision. He was additionally cited for failure to maintain a safe distance and failure to show proof of insurance. Damage only.

• At 9:42 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a crash on Egan Drive and Riverside Drive.

• At 4:58 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash in the 3100 block of Dimond Park Loop. No injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• At 10:29 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a hit-and-run.

Property damage

• At 1:05 p.m. Friday, a 37-year-old man reported attempted damage to property in the 3100 block of Channel Drive. Alcohol was involved.

Shoplifting

• At 5:23 p.m. Friday, Jereme Martuscelli, 42, was arrested for shoplifting and an outstanding warrant in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway. He was taken to LCCC.

• At 10:12 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a report of shoplifting in the 1700 block of Ralphs Way.

Suspicious activity

• At 2:02 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of suspicious activity in the 8400 block of Steep Place.

Theft

• At 8:09 a.m. Saturday, a 32-year-old woman reported that $500 cash and travel paperwork was taken from her hotel room in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway.

Traffic complaint

• At 9:51 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically on Egan Drive. The driver was identified as the subject of an active suicidal person investigation. The driver was detained and taken to BRH to evaluation.

Vandalism

• At 1:26 p.m. Friday, a 53-year-old woman reported vandalism to her 2004 Mini Cooper in the 400 block of Fifth Street.

• At 6:22 p.m. Friday, vandalism was reported in a parking garage in the downtown area in the 100 block of Main Street.
