Police & Fire for Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016

Assault

• At 12:29 p.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of harassment in the downtown area. Police believe alcohol to be a factor in the incident, and investigation continues.

• At 10:14 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of an assault in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue. Investigation continues. 

Burglary

• At 5:27 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of a burglary from a home in the 500 block of St. Anns Avenue.

• At 10:58 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of a forced entry and possible burglary of an apartment in the 400 block of Franklin Street. Damage to the front door is estimated at about $300. Investigation continues.

Child abuse

• At 12:35 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of a sex crime in Lemon Creek. Investigation into the confidential case continues.

Domestic dispute

• At 7:28 p.m. Friday, JPD arrested a woman on charges of domestic violence assault, criminal mischief and assault on a police officer. Alcohol was involved.

• At 5:13 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of domestic violence assault. Investigation continues.

• At 8:05 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a false report of domestic violence. Investigation continues.

Drunken driving

• At 2:17 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Kamron Kessler for allegedly drinking and driving and refusing to take a breathalyzer test in the 4400 block of Trafalar Avenue. He was taken to LCCC and held without bail. 

Shoplift

• At 3:36 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of shoplifting at Costco. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 12:15 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of theft and criminal mischief on a boat in the 500 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

• At 4:27 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of theft from the Super 8 in the 2200 block of Trout Street. Investigation continues.

• At 8:31 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of a larceny in the 3500 block of Douglas Highway. Investigation continues.

• At 8:42 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of vandalism and theft from a work truck in the 5200 block of Commercial Boulevard. Investigation continues.

Vehicle rifling

• At 5:16 p.m. Friday, a 56-year-old man reported that his unlocked vehicle had been rifled sometime during the previous night in the 900 block of Calhoun Avenue. About $15 in change was stolen. There are no leads or suspects.

• At 8:12 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of vehicle rifling in the 100 bock of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

• At 4:38 a.m. Saturday, a 30-year-old man reported his unlocked vehicle had been rifled in the 1500 block of Glacier Avenue.

• At 8:35 a.m., a 41-year-old man reported that his unlocked vehicle had been rifled in the Federal Building parking lot. Nothing was stolen.

• At 8:56 a.m. Saturday, a 40-year-old man reported that his unlocked car had been rifled in the 1500 block of Glacier Avenue. About $4 in change was stolen.

• At 9:33 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of an attempted vehicle rifling in the 600 block of 12th Street.

Warrant arrest

• At 2:22 p.m. Friday, Shasta Myers, 36, was arrested for a $250 warrant. Police took Myers to LCCC.
