Assault

• At 1:26 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department responded to an assault report downtown in which alcohol was involved; investigation continues.

• At 6:15 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Domanic Quick, 22, for assault by threats in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue; he was released with a summons to appear in court.

Burglary

• At 1:30 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report by a 54-year-old man in the 5400 block of Shaune Drive that his storage unit had been broken into.

• At 6:53 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a burglary of a business in the 5600 block of Tonsgard Court; investigation continues.

Counterfeit money

• At 12:06 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report from a business in the 2200 block of Trout Street regarding a counterfeit $50 bill, which was turned in.

Drunken driving

• At 10:22 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a vehicle in a ditch in the 5100 block of Glacier Highway and arrested Christopher J. Lerma, 20, for driving under the influence; he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Fire and medical

• On Sunday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to seven EMS calls and one medical transport in the area throughout the day. At 12:20 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active smoke alarm on 12th Street, which had been triggered by food burning on the stove; they removed the food, turned off the stove and ventilated the apartment. At 3:32 p.m., they responded to smoke on Judy Avenue and found property owners in compliance with a burn permit. At 7:46 p.m, they were dispatched to an active carbon monoxide detector on Glacier Highway; no carbon monoxide was found after testing and the detectors were determined out be at the end of their life span.

• On Monday, CCFR responded to five EMS calls and one medical transport. At 7:22 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Sixth Street that had been triggered by a basketball. At 9:25 p.m, they responded to a burn complaint on Northwood Drive, which was due to a barbecue that had been in use.

Theft

• At 12:56 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a bicycle theft in the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road; investigation continues.

• At 10:38 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report from a 47-year-old man in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive that a backpack had been stolen that contained a debit card, which was then used fraudulently; investigation continues.
