Police & Fire for Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016

Death

• At 10:34 a.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department investigated an unattended death in the 7700 block of North Douglas Highway. Foul play is not suspected.

• At 11:16 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a welfare check in the 100 block of Gastineau Avenue and found a person dead on arrival. Foul play is not suspected.

Domestic violence

• At 1:47 p.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence related criminal mischief, and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was not involved.

Sexual assault

• At 12:28 p.m. Sunday, confidential investigation into a report of sexual assault.

Suspicious activity

• At 4:38 p.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 4500 block of Kanata Street. Alcohol was not involved.

Theft

• At 1:01 p.m. Sunday, a 23-year-old woman reported her purse stolen in the 200 block of Front Street. Alcohol was involved.

• At 9:40 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report of stolen fuel from a business in the 5100 block of Glacier Highway.

Vehicle rifling

• At 12:47 p.m. Sunday, a 56-year-old woman reported her vehicle was rifled through the night prior in the 11400 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road. An original piece of glass art, valued at $200, and a box of glass making supplies, valued at $400, were reported stolen.

• At 1:42 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of a vehicle rifling in the 8300 block of Airport Boulevard, resulting in approximately $410 worth of property loss.

• At 9:57 p.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old woman reported her car was rifled in the 1300 block of Eastaugh Way, and her black vinyl bifold wallet was stolen with $200 cash.

Vehicle theft

• At 3:35 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of Harbor Way.
