Assault
• At 9:01 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of an assault in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.
Burglary
• At 8:14 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a burglary in the 200 block of Second Street that resulted in approximately $400 worth of damage and $10 worth of stolen food items.
Conditions violation
• At 3:05 p.m. Monday, JPD arrested Yvonne Bennett, 46, on a probations remand in the 100 block of Seward Street.
• At 6:52 p.m. Monday, JPD arrested Dennis John Morris Jr. on an Alaska State Trooper warrant for a probation violation and providing false information to law enforcement in the 5400 block of Bent Court. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail.
• At 6:52 p.m. Monday, JPD arrested Sherry Lynn Petranovich on an AST warrant for a probation violation in the 5400 block of Bent Court. She was taken to LCCC and held in lieu of a $5,000 bail.
Death
• At 10:18 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of an unattended death of natural causes in the 800 block of 12th Street.
Domestic violence
• At 4:09 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
• At 2:23 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a noise complaint and possible domestic violence issue between a 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man in the Juneau area. Alcohol was involved.
Fire and medical
• On Monday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to nine EMS calls, two calls about small fires that were taken care of before units arrived, a fire alarm triggered by burnt food, a call for assistance in a private home and checked the blood pressure of a man who stopped by Station 1 on Glacier Avenue.
Motor vehicle crash
• At 4:38 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of a hit-and-run that resulted in approximately $500 worth of damages in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive. Investigation continues.
Sexual assault
• At 8:04 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report of sexual assault of a minor in the Juneau area.
Shoplifting
• At 12:47 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of shoplifting in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue. The items were recovered.
Theft
• At 12:16 p.m. Sunday, a 49-year-old woman reported the theft of two purses and their contents, valued at approximately $750, in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
• At 7:20 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of a stolen 1998 Ford Mustang in the Juneau area. The vehicle was located and returned to the registered owner.
• At 9:33 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report of stolen construction tools on Keegan Street. Investigation continues.
• At 2:51 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of stolen bicycle items in the 3100 block of Dimond Park Loop.
Trespassing
• At 6:41 p.m. Sunday, JPD cited and released Danielle Roher, 26, for trespassing onto Fred Meyer property in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.
• At 6:41 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Dirk Daugherty, 35, for criminal trespassing and violating conditions of release in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. He was taken to LCCC and held without bail.
Vandalism
• At 4:31 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of vehicle vandalism in the 5000 block of Douglas Highway. Investigation continues.
Vehicle rifling
• At 1:43 a.m. Monday, JPD officers contacted a man who appeared to be trespassing a vehicle and the man was believed to have a warrant. He provided a false name and fled from officers. Investigation continues.
Warrant served
• At 9:41 a.m. Tuesday, AST arrested Frank G. Brown, 53, on Long Run Street on a warrant for failing to appear on the original charge of failing to register as a sex offender II. He was taken to LCCC and held in lieu of a $500 bail.
