ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a man wounded on the city’s east side.
Dispatchers just before 2:30 a.m. Friday took multiple calls reporting shots fired on Donna Drive west of Turpin Street. One witness reported a man screaming.
Police and medics found a man with gunshot wounds on Donna Drive near east Sixth Avenue. He was taken to a hospital and he underwent emergency surgery. The man’s name was not released.
Police found a vehicle with bullet holes on the street. The vehicle had been driven by the wounded man.
Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
