Authorities are investigating an unidentified body found Thursday afternoon, Juneau Police Department announced.
At about 3:47 p.m. Juneau police received a report of a body in the water near the Sunny Drive pull out across from the Glacier Highway Access Road, according to police. Officers located the body, which appeared to be that of an adult man, according to police, but the body could not be identified.
The body will be sent to the Alaska Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death and for identification, according to police, and an update will be provided when the body is identified.
