The Juneau Police Department is looking for two men who they say broke into a Mendenhall Valley home and assaulted a woman before stealing from her.
Around 3:21 a.m. Friday, JPD received a report that the men entered a home in the 9200 block of James Boulevard through an unlocked sliding glass door and assaulted a 29-year-old woman who was in her kitchen. The men punched and kicked the woman, and then ransacked her kitchen and fled with a ring valued at $120 and $5 in coins, according to a JPD news release.
Police searched the area but could not locate the suspects. The woman suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
The men were described as being about 5’6”, slim and with tan complexions. They wore mostly black clothing, and one of the men had dark hair.
Those with information are being asked to contact JPD at 586-0600 or they can report a tip anonymously to the Juneau Crime Line at juneaucrimeline.com.
