On Feb. 12, someone arrived to a work trailer to find the trailer open and more than two dozen tools missing, according to a Juneau Police Department release.
Police learned that 26 hand and power tools were missing from the trailer, worth an estimated $4,000. The person who discovered the trailer, JPD Lt. Jeremy Weske said, was an employee of the owner of the trailer. Among the tools are drills, nail guns, routers, sanders, saws, sheers and an air compressor, according to the release. Brands include Bosch, Dewalt, Kwikset, Makita, Porter Cable and Skil, police say.
The theft occurred in the 8000 block of Canyon Drive in a neighborhood near Floyd Dryden Middle School, according to police, and there’s no known information about whether the theft was done by one or many people.
